The name says it all really – DTG is a method of printing direct to a garment as opposed to printing to fabric which is then made in to a garment.
To break it down very simply, a garment is typically placed on a platen, and then the (usually aqueous) inks are sprayed on to the garment by the print head. If white ink is being printed (for dark garments), then the garment will require a pre-treatment sprayed to it before printing, to allow for better bonding of the ink to the garment. DTG inks work best with high cotton content fabrics & garments and require a curing process (typically with heat from a heat press or heat tunnel) to set the inks.
Because DTG is a digital process requiring very little in the way of set-up, it is a decoration process that is ideal for one-offs and small runs – but is also suitable for larger runs as well. It typically has a very soft hand (feel) and looks and feels like it is part of the garment, rather than being “stuck on”.
The following listings cover our most popular machines – however if you are after a more specialised solution for your printed garment production needs, do not hesitate to contact us for more information on any of the many machine options available from DTG Solutions.

We do our best to pack your order ready for shipping on the same (business) day once payment has been accepted. This is subject to stock availability, public holidays and weekends. Orders for Couriers Please or Aramex shipping will be packed & booked on the same business day as the order is received (or next business day if received out of hours), however these carriers will not collect the parcel(s) until the business day following the booking day. Please factor this in when evaluating transit times.
Express Post or Regular Parcel Post shipping orders received by 2pm will generally be dispatched same (business) day.
Courier options (eg Couriers Please, Startrack, TNT etc) are generally a 1-2 day service to most capital cities and major regional locations within Australia, however shipments to more minor regional areas will require additional transit time.
You will be able to select from various shipping options during Checkout (before you finalise your order).
Please ensure you refer to the freight calculator to understand the cost for delivery to your postcode at Checkout.
Courier services denoted with ATL are “authority to leave” services – which means that if you select one of these shipping methods, you elect to have goods left without signature, and you accept liability of your purchased items being left at your delivery address door. It’s recommended that you consider where you will be during business hours, to ensure you put down a relevant delivery address if you have selected a Courier option. For example, if you are working, we recommend you have your order delivered to work where you can sign for receipt of delivery.
NOTE: we cannot ship to PO boxes using courier services. Please select one of the Australia Post (Express Post or Parcel Post) options if you wish to ship to a PO Box.
Parcel Post and Express Post services are provided by Australia Post.
Courier services denoted as B2B are for delivery to a Commercial address ONLY. Even if you conduct a business from your home or another residential address, this is NOT considered to be a Commercial address by the shipping companies, and additional charges may apply if you select this type of service incorrectly.
We do our absolute best to ensure that your goods are delivered to you as quickly as possible, but sometimes things do go wrong and the couriers might let us down. We hope you understand that once the goods have been collected by the couriers or lodged with the Post Office, we have no control over the parcel’s trip to you. We will, of course, help with tracking and follow up with the courier company if needed.
Of course, should it become evident after full investigation that the parcel is lost with little hope of recovery, we will replace the order.
